There are a number of buildings, structures and other elements in Pipemakers Park that are part of the story of the history of the western region and Melbourne.

There are several brochures that can guide interested parties around Pipemakers Park and provide some historical information for visitors. These brochures can now be downloaded and used to learn more about the park.

Historic Parkland

This brochure is an historic artefact in itself. It is an early brochure explaining the opening of the park in the late 1980’s when the park was run by the Board of Works.

The History of the Land Discovery Trail

The Museum built a garden on the base of an old factory shed to represent the resurgence of life through history. The artist, Elizabeth McKinnon, used plants and mosaics to trace the history of the western region through the garden
